Hawstead

The 2015 edition of the Pevsner guide to Suffolk West says in the Hawstead entry: "Church House, opposite." (the church) "Originally the Guildhall of St James, described as newly built in 1478. Timber-framed and plastered. Three-bay open hall with crown-post roof. Floor inserted in the C17".

The Historic England listing details are here. This refers to a document referring to it as "newly built in 1478."

The Historic England listing for the Bardwell gildhall, here, also makes reference to the one at Hawstead.
